FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How much will the new equipment cost?
We estimate it will cost $100,000 to purchase and install the new equipment. No matter which option the public selects, we will work within this budget. There are additional costs for ground preparation.
When will the new equipment be installed?
We plan to have the new equipment installed summer of 2023.
Why are you considering installing all-ages fitness equipment in the park?
We know the park is popular with children, but also with their parents, and other adults who use it as a base to run around the Flight Path, a convenient meeting place for dog walkers, and location for impromptu high impact intensity training.
We are considering the needs of these users to encourage exercise and activity for residents of all ages and abilities.

Will there be any more phases to improve Jubilee Park?
No, this is the final phase of the park’s development.
Are you considering adding washrooms to Jubilee Park?
Not at this stage. Visitors can find portable toilets located close by, at Patricia Bay Park.
Is it possible to have the rubber flooring with Option 2?
Both options were developed within the allocated budget in mind. As the rubber flooring is higher in cost than the wood chips, combining Option 2 with rubber flooring would put the project significantly over budget.
