North Saanich staff are seeking opinions on what different uses and spaces a food hub built for the District could include. A food hub is a strategic commitment of the District that dates back to the 2012 North Saanich Agricultural Economic Development Strategy, though an agri-plex has been referenced in other District documents even before that time.
Food hubs take different shapes worldwide, but often include space for farmers to retail, store, sort, clean and package food for sale. Please select features from the list below that you think are important to a food hub, or write in any that we have missed.
